Yesterday (Thursday, 9th November 2017), I attended the much anticipated Derbyshire Times Business Awards at the stunning Spanish inspired Casa Hotel in Chester (please visit this place if you’re nearby!).
Joined by Talk Staff Group’s Senior Management Team and amazing long serving and much loved clients, it’s events like these that make us realise that all of our hard work is worth it.
I’m pleased to announce that Talk Staff Group was a Finalist for Small Business of the Year and won the prestigious People Development Award … up against some tough competition!
For us, the development of our people is the absolute biggest priority and is built into everything we do. I believe that great people build great businesses and it’s events like this that we hope to inspire others to stretch themselves and see the results of increased levels of productivity.
Congrats to everyone who also won on the night! Winners that stood out included Chameleon School of Construction who won the Inclusion Award and gave such an emotional speech that there wasn’t many dry eyes in the room but should be very very proud of what they have achieved for those with disabilities throughout the area.
I was particularly inspired by Chloe Watmore who took most of the awards on the night including Business Person of the Year. As Managing Director of Thermotex Engineering, Chloe is part of the second generation in the company and gave an inspiring speech to others that have hesitated to nominate themselves for awards and urged them to do so.
